The Challenge

The Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) Foundation was formed in 2025 following the merger between two main hospitals in Kitchener-Waterloo. Its mission is to raise funds for medical programs and equipment not covered by government funding, supporting all WRHN sites and managing donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and large-scale community events.

Merging two long-standing foundations brought a complex technology challenge. Each organization had its own IT systems: one relied on Microsoft platforms, the other on Google Workspace. One foundation was tightly integrated into its hospital’s internal IT network, making separation delicate and time-consuming. Mission-critical automations powered fundraising workflows, meaning any disruption could negatively impact donor operations, active campaigns, and staff productivity.

The WRHN Foundation needed a unified platform that could safely integrate both cultures, preserve essential automations, and be delivered quickly without halting ongoing activities.

“Reis Informatica handled our transition with professionalism, care, and technical precision. Staff were supported throughout.”
